How a video is composed

Three sizes decide every video: your window, the virtual screen it stands on, and the output file. This clip shows all three — then dresses the composition up.

What it covers

• Window — your app as captured; the input size.
• Output — the file's resolution and quality.
• Virtual screen — the stage between them; the camera moves across it.
• Backgrounds — solid, gradient, or image — and they can animate mid-shot.
• Chrome — the window's dress: macOS, Windows, none (or a phone — that's the Mobile clip).

Say it like

• "Output at 1080p."
• "Give the window more room on the virtual screen."
• "Animate the background to a sage gradient."
• "Make the window look like a Mac." / "No chrome at all."
