Cookie Policy

Last updated 2026-05-08

The short version: the table in section 2 lists every cookie or local-storage item we set on this site. Today there are two: one strictly necessary, and one used to credit affiliate referrals. The affiliate item only loads when you arrive via an affiliate link, and inside the EU/EEA/UK/CH we ask for your consent first; outside those regions, where opt-in consent is not legally required, it loads automatically. You can change your choice at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to track which pages you visit, or to identify you across visits. EU law (the ePrivacy Directive, transposed in the Czech Republic into Act No. 127/2005 Coll. on Electronic Communications) requires websites to obtain consent before placing any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the operation of the site. The same rule applies to local storage, session storage, and similar technologies (EDPB Guidelines 2/2023 on Article 5(3)), so we treat them all as "cookies" for the purposes of this policy.

2. What we set on nextdemo.app

The table below lists every cookie and local-storage item we set on this site. We keep this table in sync with the code: if we add, remove, or change anything, the table is updated in the same release, and any new non-essential item requires your consent before it loads.

Beyond the items above, this site uses no other cookies, no fingerprinting, and no persistent identifiers. Visitor statistics come from Simple Analytics, a fully cookieless service that does not collect personal data — which is also why we run it whether you accept or reject the affiliate cookie.

3. Cookies set by Lemon Squeezy during checkout

When you click a "Get NextDemo" button on our pricing page, you are taken to a checkout page hosted on lemonsqueezy.com. Lemon Squeezy is our Merchant of Record and is responsible for the entire checkout flow. They may set strictly necessary cookies on their own domain to maintain your shopping cart, payment session, and fraud prevention. These cookies are set by Lemon Squeezy, not by us, and cannot be meaningfully disabled without breaking the checkout. For details, see Lemon Squeezy's own Privacy Policy.

4. When the cookie banner appears

Most visits to this site never trigger a banner — for example, if you arrive directly to nextdemo.app with no affiliate referral, there is nothing non-essential to load and nothing to ask you about. The banner appears only when both of these are true:

  • You arrived with an affiliate referral parameter in the URL (so we have a real reason to set the affiliate cookie), and
  • you are likely in the EU/EEA/UK/CH (where opt-in consent is required by law). We approximate this client-side from your browser timezone and language; we do not perform IP geolocation. When the signal is unclear we default to showing the banner.

If you reject, the affiliate script is never loaded and no affiliate cookie or local-storage entry is created. Outside the EU/EEA/UK/CH the script loads without prompting you, but you can still opt out at any time via "Manage cookies" in the footer.

5. URL pass-through (no storage)

Independently of the cookie above, when you arrive with ?aff=<id> in the URL we may append the same parameter to the outbound checkout link so the affiliate is credited even if no cookie is ever set. This is not "storage on terminal equipment" within the meaning of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive — it is request data passing through the page — and therefore requires no consent. Nothing is persisted on your device or on our side as a result.

6. Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time:

  • Use the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer, or click , to reopen the cookie banner.
  • You can also clear or block all cookies, including any set by Lemon Squeezy during checkout, through your browser settings (note that blocking checkout cookies will prevent purchases from completing):

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

Adding or removing a row in section 2 is the canonical way we communicate cookie changes. Any new non-essential entry that relies on consent will reset the banner so you can review the change.
